Q. My 4yo gets really bad chapped lips, and is constantly toting around a Chapstick. DH was home with the kids yesterday afternoon and was concerned the Chapstick wasn't doing the trick, so he did some online research and found out that plain Vaseline is really the best treatment. He dug though the bathroom cabinets and found a tube of Vaseline and smeared it all over DS's lips. He felt it worked really well and noted that he could see an improvement already. (He told me all this when I got home from work yesterday.) So, at dinner, DS was again complaining about his lips and asked for the "Daddy trick." I went to the bathroom to get the magic tube of Vaseline, but couldn't find it anywhere.
