Why didn't all those gun toting Alabamans stop that guy from shooting so many people?
Q. Isn't self defense the reason that they all need to own handguns and assault weapons. It's just more proof that those self defense arguments promoted by groups like the NRA are just nonsense.

A. i would imagine that a lot of the damage was done before people could even process what in the hell was happening. after reading today's news alone, i wouldn't suggest that we arm everyone.

When did gun-toting film characters start aiming with outstretched arms at eye level?
Q. All I know is that older films tend to show gun-toting characters aiming from waist level, but now they do so at eye level. So, what was the first film they did this as part of the modern trend. Was it a sudden thing, where it was done in one film and every other film after that was ey level aiming, or was there a gradual change?

A. I think it varies from film to film, director to director, and most likely among screenwriters. I saw two b&w films recently, one from the '30s and one from the '40s, both showing eye-level aiming, which really stood out to me. The audience is staring down the barrel into the shooter's eyes, which was very striking. I would need to check my film journal for which ones they are. But, it does seem to vary a great deal. For awhile, movies were not to have scenes in which a firearm of any type was aimed at the camera/audience, but I don't think that lasted for long. However, most times we do see shots being taken away from the camera's eye or to the right or the left. Most that I've seen seem to use the up-to-shoulder-level at least. I haven't [cont.]

Aren't gun toting republicans just a little paranoid? Has anyone actually taken their guns away?
Q. And, why are they so hung up on owning firearms, like Timothy McVeigh was?
Asked by Ruby - Sun Mar 28 23:56:55 2010 - - 15 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I am hung up with owning firearms for the safety of my family and I. The hobby and sport of competitive shooting. And just because McViegh owned guns does not make all gun owners bad... 64,999,987 Legal and responsible firearms owners killed no one yesterday. Now my question to you...Why are whining and crying liberals always trying to take my rights away because they cannot tolerate them but spout things like gay marriage, supporting abortion, and socializing America and expect and demand me to tolerate that...? See...both sides can play this game
